Wow, you kept the same concept but made a lot of changes between your first flash animation and your final. That textured background and the color choices certainly go well with the music. That was an interesting touch adding the seal, since your composition looked very much like an intricate symbol. The one thing, though, is that it moves very very fast. I'm old. I watched it a couple of times and I still feel like if I blink I may miss something. Especially because you included a lot of great information. Maybe a slower version for the over-30 crowd (consisting of basically me)? Funny thing is they always include easter eggs in the Pirates dvds, so I was almost tempted to click on random points of the animation to see if there was some extra footage hidden in there somewhere... really cool. I liked the ink blotter effect. I agree with silvia, the only thing that I would change about it is the speed. When all the information is going on I kind of felt myself struggling to take it all in and consume everything that was happening on screen (upper left) at the same time. But I really liked it quite a bit. Cant really say much about the music though cuz im in math and I think my TA would consider it rude if I was playing music.
I'm agreeing with both Graham and Silvia, the information definitely comes at the viewer to quickly. The one thing I did like about that is that it matched the music. And the end of your video matches perfectly with the sound. I also like seeing that you took what we said to you during the group critique and applied it to the video. The background and colors look great and I love the seal at the end.
