most important:
(19) Look at History but don't Repeat it - things get overdone and then they lose their uniqueness and originality.
(7) If You Can Do it With Less, Than Do It - less is always more, anyone can just throw stuff on a page but less creates more of a purpose and simplicity.
(8) Negative Space is Magical, Create it don't just Fill It Up - negative space is part of your design it is not just white space. Using the negative space creates very strong designs.
need to practice:
(19) Look at History - because it is very important to do research, you progress to better ideas and learn more about design. This is something i feel like i need to do more of.
(6) Pick Colors on Purpose - this is a rule that i feel like i need to focus on because i pick colors that i like together and not necessarily go with the theme or mood of my design.
(1) Have a concept - i feel like i work really hard and think too much about the concept that it is hard for me to determine a specific one and focus on one thing/theme.
3 to ignore:
I think that all these rules are important and that they all should be looked over and understood for all designers but there is one that i think is a common that you should know and that is already a natural instinct would be the symmetry one, or at least it is to me, in that nothing should be symmetrical. This article was one that i found very beneficial and enjoyed reading.
